The Role
The Club Director is the operator, the culture carrier, and the community builder of the location. You own everything under your roof — the team, the experience, the revenue, and the reputation of the brand in your market.
You are not the head of sales and you are not the head of fitness. You have a Sales Director and a Fitness Director for that. Your job is to lead them, support them, and think bigger than any one department. You are looking at the location from the outside in — how does this place feel, who knows we exist, and how do we make sure the right people find us and stay with us.

What You Own
Leadership and Team
- Lead, develop, and hold accountable a full location team across fitness, spa, sales, and front desk
- Recruit, hire, train, and retain top talent in every position
- Create a team culture that reflects the exhale | Salt brand — warm, professional, and standards-driven
- Own all associate performance documentation — timely, thorough, and on record
- Ensure every associate adheres to handbook requirements — appearance, conduct, and performance
Operations and Finance
- Own and adhere to all departmental budgets — payroll, supplies, retail, and operations
- Manage scheduling across the full team based on business needs including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Resolve staffing gaps proactively — the front desk and spa attendant teams must be fully staffed and performing
- Maintain inventory across back bar and retail — ordered on time and stocked to standard
- Hold the facility to the highest standard of cleanliness and organization at all times
- Ensure all SOPs are followed consistently across every department
- Maintain all unit level licenses and required postings
- Ensure morning reports are submitted and reviewed daily
- Optimize the daily schedule for booking efficiency and service delivery
- Ensure hotel penetration is occurring daily where applicable
Revenue and Growth
- Own the location's total revenue performance across all lines — memberships, spa, retail, and add-ons
- Support the Sales Director and Fitness Director in hitting their department goals — remove obstacles, provide resources, hold the standard
- Think creatively about how to grow the location — new member acquisition is not just the sales team's job, it is yours
Community and Brand
- Build the brand's presence in the local market — the right people in your community should know exhale | Salt exists
- Conceive and execute events, pop-ups, and activations that bring new people into the location and deepen relationships with existing members
- Identify and pursue cross-promotional partnerships with aligned local brands, businesses, and organizations
- Be the face of the location in the community — visible, engaged, and genuinely connected
- Partner with the Head of Marketing and Head of Sales on local campaigns and growth initiatives
What We're Looking For
- A proven operator with experience leading a multi-disciplinary team in fitness, spa, hospitality, or wellness
- Operationally excellent — budgets, scheduling, staffing, and facility standards all run through you and nothing falls through the cracks
- Spa fluency is a significant advantage — you must be comfortable across both fitness and spa environments
- A creative thinker who sees opportunity in the community and knows how to activate it
- Marketing and brand-minded — you think about how the location shows up in the world, not just how it runs internally
- A communicator and relationship builder who earns trust with staff, members, partners, and ownership
- Commercially sharp — you understand revenue, margins, and the numbers that drive location performance
- Someone who leads from the floor — present, engaged, and setting the example every day
